Basic Operations

This section provides basic information on operating the camera.

  • Shooting Procedure: Choose between LCD monitor mode or viewfinder mode. Note that the recorded image may differ from what is seen on the monitor before recording.
  • Notes on Camera Functions: Check for specific markings for 1080 60i/50i compatibility. The camera supports 1080 60p/50p progressive recording for smoother images. Be aware of potential discomfort when viewing 3D images and take breaks as needed.
  • No compensation for contents of the recording: Recording or playback issues due to malfunctions are not compensated.
  • Back up recommendation: Always back up data to prevent loss.
  • Notes on LCD monitor, electronic viewfinder, lens, and image sensor: Pixels may appear as tiny black or bright points, which is normal. Do not hold the camera by the LCD monitor. Avoid exposing the camera to direct sunlight for extended periods. Keep magnetic items away from the LCD monitor. Screen behavior in cold conditions is normal.

Screen becomes temporarily dark when turning on in a cold location. Cold temperature. The screen will function normally as the camera warms up.
