Quick Start Guide

This section covers the basic functions of your camcorder. Refer to the pages in parentheses for more information.

Connecting the Power Cord

When using your camcorder outdoors, use the battery.

1. Open the DC IN jack cover.
2. Connect the plug with the arrow mark facing up.

Inserting a Videocassette

1. Slide EJECT in the direction of the arrow while pressing the small blue button.
2. Insert the videocassette into the compartment with its window facing outwards.
3. Close the compartment by pressing the "PUSH" mark. The compartment will lower automatically.

Recording Images

1. Remove the lens cap.
2. Set the POWER switch to CAMERA while pressing the small green button.
3. Open the LCD panel by pressing OPEN.
4. Turn STANDBY to STANDBY. Images will appear on the electronic viewfinder.
5. Press the red button to start recording. Press it again to stop.

Viewing Playback Images

1. Set the POWER switch to VTR while pressing the small green button.
2. Press to rewind the tape.
3. Press to start playback.

Note: Do not hold the camcorder by the viewfinder or the LCD panel.
